lässt sich ein ende der zeit denken? ein ende aller zeiten gar? das scheint schwer vorstellbar. wäre es doch das ende der welt, wie wir sie kennen. und doch – oder besser gesagt: wohl gerade deshalb finden menschen mitunter besonderen gefallen an diesem gedanken. um so besser, wenn es zudem ein datum für den count-down gibt!

"endzeit | end of time" ist eine weitere folge von TIME BENDING CLOCK RADIO.

seit sommer 2010 begleitet TIME BENDING CLOCK RADIO das projekt TIME BENDING CLOCK, in dem an der schnittstelle von kunst, medien, kultur- und wissenschaftsgeschichte alternativen theorien und praktiken der zeitmessung geforscht wird.

can we imagine the end of time? hardly. for this would be the end of the world as we know it. yet – and probably for this very reason – some people seem to like this idea. if there is a precise date for the count-down: even better!

according to the phantasies and projections directed to the very date of today's GUNSTradio broadcast, we'll take a closer look onto the calculations of the Mayan Tzolkin calendar and the Meso-American Long Count. if only to see there's no serious calculation base provided for the end of time.
